CRANG, KRAANG, n. Extension of Eng. crang, the carcass of a whale, to mean a dead body, a corpse.Sc.(E) 1937 W. Soutar in Gsw. Herald (7 Aug.) 4:
Richt at his door there was a gnaff As mum as onie crang. Sh.(D) 1922 J. Inkster Mansie's Röd 125: If hit no been da boys, my frozen kraang id been fun i' da hills.
