CRAIDS, n.pl. “A children's indoor amusement, a pile of stools being erected in the middle of the floor, crossed this way and that, and the handle of the sweeping brush shoved down through the finger hole in the stools, as a centre pole. The youngsters romped round and round this” (Abd.15 1927, obsol. or obs.).
