CIRCUIT-COURT, n. comb. “A term applied to the High Court of Justiciary, which deals with major crimes, and which is the only Sc. court which goes on circuit. There are three circuits, north, west and south” (Abd.16 1936). “Similar in function to the English Assize” (N.E.D.).
