CHIM CHIM, v. “To talk in a long-winded, undecided way” (E.D.D.). Also found in s.Eng. dial. [tʃɪm-]Slk. 1818 Hogg Wool-gatherer in Brownie of Bodsbeck, etc. II. 197:
Fock that dare do naething but chim chim at the same thing ower again.
