BUNDANE, n. A particular kind of shawl (see first quot.).Dmf. 1891 J. Brown Hist. of Sanquhar 359:
About 1833 shawls called "Bundanes" were woven, silk in the weft and cotton in the warp.
Dmf. 1937 (per Dmf.10):
An old man in Sanquhar — the last survivor of the weaving trade — remembers weaving shawls of the name of "Bundane."
