1. v. “To eruct, to emit wind from the stomach through the mouth” (Ork. c.1920 D. Houston W.-L.).

2. n. In phr. brocht o' drink, a surfeit (Avoch, Rs. 1914 T.S.D.C. I.).

[Cf. Gael. brùchd, to belch, burst out (MacBain, MacLennan). D.O.S.T. gives the n. brocht, a retch, with quot. 1583 Sempill Sat. P. xlv.]
