BRABBLACH, BRABALACH, n. “The refuse of anything; such as of corn, meat, etc.” (Fif. 1825 Jam.2); anything small and worthless. [′brɑb(ə)ləx]Arg.1 1935:
We wur oot fishan' last nicht, but, ach, we only got a lot o' brabalach.

[Cf. Gael. pràar, little people, refuse of grain (MacLennan). MacBain gives the form pràal.]
