BLUFFLEHEADED, adj. “Having a large head, accompanied with the appearance of dullness of intellect” (Sc. 1808 Jam.).[Cf. Eng. dial. buffle-head, a stupid fellow (E.D.D.), and Eng. bluff head, a bluff headland, hence a blockhead (N.E.D.).]
