BLOODACH, n. Also blodick. “Buttermilk and meal is sometimes called foorach but more commonly ‘bloodach'” (Abd.8 1917). [′blʌdəx] Bnff. 1946 Abd. Press & Jnl. (21 Sept.):
Blodick was butter milk and meal which had not to be stirred but poked into knots, so that when you supped them the meal was quite dry in the centre.
