Now, ower the grieshoch blaught and fey.

Its visage, wither'd, blaucht and wan, Bore witness o' nae earthly man.
Rxb. 1825 Jam.2:
Blaugh. Of a bluish or sickly colour. [Now obs. according to Watson Rxb. W.-B. (1923).]

[O.Sc. blacht, blaucht, bleached, pale, pa.p. of O.Sc. bleche, to bleach, which had also blechit. Mid.Eng. blaȝt, O.E. blǣc(c)an, make pale, from O.E. blāk, pale. Blacht is formed on the analogy of O.E. tǣcan, teach, tāhte, taught, rǣcan, reach, rāhte, raught (obs.).]
