Bend, Bender. A silly foppish fellow; a “booser.”
Edb. 1773 R. Fergusson Sc. Poems (1925) 28:
Ye benders a', that dwall in joot, You'll tak your liquor clean cap out.
Rnf. 1799 R. Tannahill Poems (1876) 163:
Or benders . . . Mark well my tale, Ye'll fin' nae drink hauf worth your gettin, Like Allan's Ale.
