BENDED, ppl.adj. Cocked, of a gun. Prob. extended from the bending of the bow to the pulling of the trigger in the gun. Obs. in St.Eng.Sc. 1819 Scott Bride of Lamm. xxiv.:
There was young Allan Ravenswood . . . wi' a bended pistol in his hand.
