Content they were at sick a lucky kyle, An' fand they had na met wi' a beguile.

[O.Sc. begile, begyle, etc., to cheat (D.O.S.T.). D.O.S.T. gives no example of this word as a n. It occurs in S. Rutherford Letters, epistle 47, 1637, but is unrecorded in mod.Eng.]
