BEDLAR, n. A person confined to bed, a bedridden person. [′bɛdlər]Mry. 1868 G. Macdonald Seaboard Par. I. x.:
Two patients . . . bedlars, as you will find the common people in the part you are going to, call them — bedridden, that is.
