BATCHIE, n.2 A card game of different character and origin from Batchie,n.1Lth. 1933 (per Lnk.3):
Cards were laid down in turn till two of a suit came together, upon which the player of the last card lifted the entire “batch” of cards. The winner ended by holding the entire pack.
