BATCH, n. As in St.Eng., but the following usage is regarded as dial. by N.E.D. (Rxb. a.1838 Jam. MSS. XII. 19). Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B. 50:
Batch. A quantity of meal or flour milled, obtained, or given out for family use.
