1. To string together; to tether.Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928):

Band . . . to bind up an animal in a stall, put its band on.

2. To make a wall secure by inserting bond-stones (Ork. 1975). Cf. Band, n.¹, 1. (9). Ppl.adj. banded. Dmf. 1812 W. Singer Agric. Dmf. 153:
It ought not only to be well banded there with long stones, but also to be built so as to look a little hollow, or concave.
