Also: warkmanschip(p)e, varkmanschip(e, warkmenschip(e, werkmanschipe, werk-, verkmenschip, workmanschip(e, (workmanship), workemanship, work-, vorkmenschip, wirkmanschip, woorkemanshippe. [ME and e.m.E. werk-monshepe (Cursor M.), werkemanship (Piers Plowman), workmanshippe (1523), woorkemanshippe (1534).] The labour required to make or do something, esp. in carrying out a particular task. b.
