Vilipensioun, -cioun, -tioun, n. Also: vylipensyon, vilepensione, villipensioun, velipentioun. [e.m.E. vilipension (1538), the condition of being despised, OF vilipension, med. L. vilipension-, f. L. vīlipendere.] Contemptuous or scornful behaviour; arrogance; contempt for others or the law. Also const. of the person or thing despised.(1) 1456 Hay II 98/10.
