Ungu(m)ent, Unȝement, n. Also: unguement, -guyment, -gement, -gymente, unȝeament, -yement, -(e)yment, wnȝement, unguuent. [Late ME and e.m.E. vnguent (c1440), L. unguentum.] An ointment, unguent or salve. Also fig. = Oinment n., Ointment n., Oinȝement n. and Un(c)tment n. 1569 Edinb. Test. I 284b.
