Tulat(e, Tulet, n. Also: tuelet, tulȝiet, tolat. [Cf. e.m.E. tyllete (1466), tyllet (1530), OF tellette f. teilete, toilete a wrapper of cloth and 17th c. Eng. toylet (1611), toilet (1662), F. toilette f. toile cloth.] A piece of fabric, ? made into a bag, used for wrapping clothes when in transit. b. ? A smaller bag of the same type. 1538 Treas. Acc.
