Stentma(i)ster, n. [Stent n.¹ and Maister n. 12.] An official appointed to fix the amount of the ‘stent’ (Stent n.¹) paid in a burgh, etc. 1618 J. Lee Hist. Ch. Scotl. App. i 403.
