Squar(e)men, Squairmen, n. pl. Also: sqaremen, sqeremen, scarmen, skarmen. [Squar(e n. 2.] The section of the wrights craft specialising in work involving use of the carpenters square. Cf. Squar(e)wright n.(a) 1622 Ayr B. Acc. 67.
