Souk(e, v. Also: sowk(e, sowik, souck, sowck(e, suike, swik, suick, suk, swk, suc, soulk, sulk, suck(e. P.t. also soukid, sought. P.p. also soucket, suckin. [ME and e.m.E. suk (c1220), souke (Rolle), sooke (Wyclif), sowke (Chaucer), souk, sucke (Trevisa), OE súcan, also súgan. Cf. ON súga.]
