Secular(e, Seculer(e, adj. and n. Also: seculair(e, saicular, sycular(e, sæcular, seclere. [ME and e.m.E. seculer (c1290), -ere (Manning), -ar (1402), seculier (Caxton), (OF seculer (1190 in Larousse), L. sǽlār-is.
