Schiwerine, n. ? A shiterow or heron. According to OED, this, also schidderem and schilderne, are corrupt forms of shiterow, ‘prob. repeated from some older enactment’ in a list of game birds in Acts (see, e.g., below). — 1600 Acts IV 236/2.
