Respondeo. [L. respondeo, 1st person sing. of the pres. t. of L. respondēre.] = Respondé n. — c1630 Hope Minor Practicks (1726) 53.

At the delivery of this precept of sasine by the director to the party, there is insert by the director in his book, called, the book of respondeo, a note of the sums [etc.]
