Rental(l)ing, vbl. n. Also: -ell-, -ill-, -ul- and -yng. [Rental(e v.] The action of entering or recording in a rental book and, hence, leasing under the rental system; an instance of this. (a) Togidder with the rentalling of the takkis of the landis of Dalgrane; 1500 Acta Conc. II 456.
Gif he falis be his dissasent, the said rentalyng to be of nayne availe; 1527 Glasgow Dioc. Reg. I 87.
