Regulus day, Regillis day. [f. the name of the saint, Regulus (or Rule).] The name given to one of the two annual fairs held in Cromarty. — 1641 Acts V 538/1.
With tua free faires yeerlie … ane … callit St. Normanes mercatt and the other fair begineand yeerlie the fourteene day of [gap in text] callit Regillis day and either of the saidis faires to endure be the space of fyve dayes 1661 Ib. VII 217/1.
