Oblisment, n. Also: obleis(s)-, obleise-, oblis(c)h(e)-, obleish-. [Oblis v.: cf. Obligement.] A legally binding or contractual promise or undertaking: cf. Obligatio(u)n n. 1 and 2, Oblis(s)ing vbl. n., Obligement n. 1.Also band of oblischment = sense b.(1) 1584 Acts III. 325/2.
