Nurischip, Nureischip, n. [Also in the 19th c. dial. as nourice-skep, -skap, -ship.] The office or situation of a child's nurse; also to put (the child) to nureischip (= to nurse), cf. Nuris n. 1 b. — 1573 St. A. Kirk S. 378.
The said Jonet being now in nurischip bund in service 1621 Perth Kirk S. MS. 5 Feb.
