Luggie, a. (n.). [Lug n. 2. In other uses in mod. Sc. and north. Eng. dial. generally.] In Shetland, only as a proper name or nickname: ? Having characteristic ears. (Also in the later Orkney dialect (1734) as the name of a horse). — 1670 Sinclair Satan's Invisible World Postscript 237.
