Loup-, Lowping, n. Also: loupping, lowpping, loweping; lupin(g, -en, lupping. [f. Loup n.1 (2 and 2 b): also e.m.E. lowping (once, 1480) and looping (1690).] Cord or braid consisting of loops, commonly as a fastening or a trimming on garments. = Loup n.1 2 b.
