[ME. lorimer (12th c.), lorymer, (north.) loyrymer, e.m.E. lorimer, -ar, lorymere etc., OF. lorimier, lormier, med. L. lorimarius.] A lorimer, a maker of bits, buckles, stirrup-irons and other metal parts of a horse's harness, also of spurs and small metal-work more generally.a. As a surname. b. In general use. c.
