Laud, n.2 Also: laude, lawde. [Late ME. laude (c 1465), med. L. laudum (c 1320) a legal finding or award, f. laudāre to praise, to announce.] A legal finding or award, a decision or decree, of a judge arbitrator or court of arbitration. 1532 Lamont P. 40.
