Larach, n. Also: laroche, -uche; layrrach, larych, layrych, laarycht. [Gael. làrach, Ir. láithreach, OIr. láthrach (Macbain). Also in the mod. Sc. and north. Ir. dial. as larach, lairoch, lerroch, leeroch.] In Strathearn and in the north-east: The site or the foundation of a building, or of a stack; the traces of an old building; a ‘stead’, as a barn-stead or homestead.(a) 1508 Reg.
