Fortify, Fortefy, v. Also: fortyfye, -ifye, -ifie, -iffie, -iefie; foretefy, fortefie; forti-, fortefé. [ME. fortefye (1436), fortyfie (c 1450), fortifie, F. fortifier, L. fortificāre.]
