Dispoilȝe, -polȝe, v. Also: dispoy(i)lȝe, dyspoyleyhe, dyspolȝe. [Normal Sc. var. of Dispoilev. Cf. Dispulȝe v.] tr. To despoil, strip. Also fig. a1400 Legends of the Saints xviii. 1027.
