Contrarious, -ius, a. Also: -yous, -iouse, -ios, -eous, -trairious, -ius. [ME. contrarious (c 1290), -ius, OF. contrarious, -ius, etc., med. L. contrariosus.]
1. Contrary, opposite, or repugnant to or till something. Also with for or without prep. 1456 Hay II. 33/17.
