Chekmait, Chakmait, n. and a. Also: chekmat, -meat, chekemate; chakmait, -meit. [ME. chekmate, -mat (a 1346), e.m.E. also chekemate, OF. eschec mat.] Checkmate; checkmated. a1499 Contemplacioun of Synnaris 832.
