Bismere, Bysmer, n. Also: bismeir, bysmeyr, bysemeir; bismare, -mair. [ME. bismer, bysmare, bissemare, etc., OE. bismer, bismor, shame, disgrace, reproach.] A disreputable woman. Also attrib. 1513 Doug. iv. Prol. 191.
