Beme, v. [ME. bemen (rare), OE. býmian, býman to blow a trumpet.] intr. To sound loudly; to ring or resound.Bemyt in Gol. & Gaw. 746 is probably a misprint for a word beginning with l-. 1513 Doug. v. vii. 40.
