Baiglet, n. [Recorded by Jam. (1825 s.v. baiklet) as in use in southern Sc.] ‘An under waistcoat, or flannel shirt worn next the skin.’ ‘A piece of linen, sometimes of woollen, dress, formerly worn above the shirt of a very young child.’ — 1658 Soc. Ant. LVIII. 359.
