1. As in Eng. Adj. unresty, unrestful, unquiet, ill at ease (Cai. 1904 E.D.D., Cai. 1973).Slk. 1802 J. Hogg in Edb. Mag. (May) 369:
Thy white hand, around me pressed, My unresty heart has felt.

2. The pendulum of a clock.Sc. 1826 Scott Journal (1890) I. 232:
Scots proverb: "the unrest (i.e. pendulum) of a clock goes aye as far the ae gait as the t'other."
