UNKNOWINST, adj. Unknown to. A borrowing from Ir. dial. See Unbeknowins, adj., adv.Arg. 1932:
She [mare] gied a lape farrat unknowinst tae Jock an' he was cowpit oot richt ower the hin-dawr.
