I. int. A command to an animal, esp. to a dog, to get out of the way: be off, away with you (Arg. 1930).Arg. 1896 N. Munro Lost Pibroch 206:

II. v. To drive, herd animals (or persons).Gsw. 1904 H. Foulis Erchie iii.:
