SKEYB-HORN'T, adj. Of cattle: having the horns wide apart (Cld. 1825 Jam.). [skəib]

[Possibly, as Jam. suggests, ultimately from O.N. skeifr, askew; and so the same word as Skave, adj., which has survived only in I.Sc. Skeyb- may be a corruption of *skeyv-.]
