I. n. A theme or statement repeated over and over again, a constant refrain (Ags., Per. 1921 T.S.D.C., ronny; Ags. 1968).

II. v. To repeat, say over and over again, to harp on about a topic (Ags. 1968).Per. 1889 T. Edwards Strathearn Lyrics 126:
She ronnies on “I'm mammie's pet”.
Kcb. c.1930:
Ronin' awa' at the questions while ither weans were playin'.
Ags. 1948 Forfar Dispatch (22 April):
