NAUCHLE, n. Also nyauchle. A dwarf (Upp.Cld. 1825 Jam.). Hence nauchlie, dwarfish, stunted, ill-shaped (Upp.Cld. 1880 Jam.), and deriv. naughlat, neachlett, adj., mean, sneaky (Uls. 1953 Traynor); n., a mean, despicable person (Ib)., a small, unthriving youngster (Arg. 1936 L.
