I. n. A fledgling bird still in the nest.Inv. 1919 per Cai.8:
“Is't eggs or keelups?” a boy is asked when he shouts he has found a nest.
II. v. In ppl.adj. kilpit, of eggs: having the young birds inside (Abd. 1958).
